Art Experiments in the Freezer
Anna McKee sketching at -8 °C

We are proud to have supported Seattle artist Anna McKee in her successful bid to obtain a National Science Foundation Artist and Writers Program grant to travel to Antarctica and document, with an artists eye, the ongoing ice core work at WAIS Divide. Anna has spent a lot of time in our freezers drawing samples of ice from Mt. Waddington and Greenland.

Take a look at some of Anna's work in her online gallery, and follow her journey from our freezers and on to Antarctica on her blog.
